What kind of engine/Specs in my 1965 Ford Mustang?
I know i have a 289 in it, but wondering what code? A, C, D, or K. Want to find out in order to know about what gas, mileage, etc. On the engine it reads 289 C6OE-9425-B. The Top looks modern and says Ford Racing. Any help?

The engine is a 1966 block. Without getting inside the engine there is little else anyone can tell you. There may be nothing that is the same about the engine since it has been rebuilt. The A code was a 225 horsepower 4 bbl engine. The C was the 2 bbl version. The K was the 271 horse hi po engine. I am unsure of the D designation (260 maybe?).
